A/Video Changeover Units  
 
  The 1U Rack Mounting “2x1”(Emergency) Changeover Selector Unit has been designed around ultra-reliable, wide-band relays to provide an economic means of switching up to three input signals between two output circuits, or visa versa, either locally, or from a remote location.  The design is capable of handling SDI/Analogue Video, Analogue Audio signals, plus RS422 control in any combination to suite individual appliances.

This versatility also enables the unit to be used in other sections of the transmission chain such as backup on-air VTR’s where the RS422 changeover option is available. 

The operational control of the Changeover Unit can either be remote via 9 pin “D”socket mounted on the rear of the panel, or locally from a three-position switch mounted on the front panel. The control circuit is “looped”via a “D”sockets which also enables more than one Changeover Selector to be used on the same control circuit.

The unit comprises of a 1U card frame which accommodates up to three 2x1 switches and a power supply.
